Keri Reeves
Borshchak Law Group | Columbus, OH
Keri grew up in Louisiana, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in English with a Concentration in Secondary Education from McNeese State University. She began her career as a high school English teacher at DeRidder High School in DeRidder, Louisiana. While teaching, Keri’s favorite part of her job was her students, and those very students are the reason that she became a lawyer. Each and every day she watched her students walk through a plethora of family issues, including abuse and neglect, adoption, and divorce. Being a teacher, she could only be a listening ear and an encourager, but as an attorney she could effect change.
Keri moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend law school at Capital University Law School. During her time there, she was on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Team, on Student Bar Association Committees, and on the Dean’s List. Keri graduated with Pro Bono Legal Honors and received the Order of the Barristers Award. While still in law school, Keri worked as a Law Clerk at Maguire Schneider Hassay, where she primarily assisted in matters relating to personal injury, but also had a chance to be involved with some family law cases. Working on these family law cases reaffirmed what she already knew—that she had a passion for helping families in their most difficult situations. Keri joined Borshchak Law Group after graduating from law school and is excited to bring her compassion, honed through her teaching experience, and her drive for protecting families into the field of family law.
